Supporting You While Supporting Me

Emotional Self-Care
After Loss [Event]

Many coping tips are given to you in grief: yoga, bubble baths, and connecting with friends. While all these are great, they’re merely self-maintenance, not self-care. We’ve somehow confused the two, so using them to cope with loss feels limited.

Self-maintenance is brushing your teeth, showering, and getting your hair cut or nails done. It’s likely what you did before the loss, in good times, and exciting moments. However, when you feel life is falling apart, you need more than that.

In this month’s Special Gathering, we’re discussing what self-care actually looks like. You’ll get practical steps (not tips) for handling your grief and loss.

This 90-minute gathering is for you if:

  1. You’re tired of coping tips that only includes exercising, candles, and journaling
  2. You want to understand your needs after loss better
  3. You want to learn how to express your needs and care for them
  4. You want to be less critical of yourself
  5. You want to build tolerance for supporting others
